The Weatherly Warriors'
Light The Night Walk
"I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind.
Some come from ahead and some come from behind.
But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see.
Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!"
On July 2nd of this year, the troubles began. Virtually out of the blue, our father, husband, brother and friend Greg Weatherly was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia - FLT3. It came on rapidly (less than 4 weeks, the doctors presume) and progressed equally as fast. After 31 days of intensive treatment in the hospital, with little luck, he was sent to Houston, Texas for specialized care. Now, we all wait. Wait and hope and pray for some sort of saving grace - a perfectly matched donor or the discovery of life-saving medication.
"The Weatherly Warriors" will be walking in honor of Greg Weatherly in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's 2013 Light the Night event, on October 24th in Mobile, Alabama. Our team will also be proudly marching in celebration of all the courageous survivors and in memory of those who have lost their battle, like a very special woman, Lundy Adcock. We humbly ask that you join our efforts by walking along side us or generously making a donation to our team. It's truly the little things that make the biggest difference!

With a united front, cancer doesn't stand a chance. Goodbye troubles!
Help us fight. Help others win.
When The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk funds treatments that save lives, it's all due to people like you. Without your efforts LLS could not provide these lifesaving treatments. LLS really is making cures happen with your help.
Friends, families and co-workers form fundraising teams and millions of consumers help by donating at retail outlets. These efforts culminate in inspirational, memorable evening walks in over two hundred communities each fall across North America.
