Welcome to my Light The Night Walk homepage. Working on a Dream!!



Dear Family and Friends,


I am building a team for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Light The Night Walk, in honor of Michael. I hope you can join me on, Saturday, October 3rd, at Light House Point Park, in New Haven, CT. Registration and pre-walk activities begin at 5:00 PM.


As you may know, Michael was diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, on March 27, 2009. He is currently undergoing 6 rounds of chemotherapy; each round is administered over 6 days in the hospital, followed by 2 long weeks of recovery. During this difficult time of keeping him isolated and his blood count up, we set some personal goals. The first is to get Michael cured, another is to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. There are currently over 912,000 people diagnosed with some form of a blood cancer. It is our hope to cure Michael while raising as much money for LLS, allowing the society to further its mission, purpose, Research and Patient Service Programs.


Light The Night Walk is LLS' national walk and fundraising event and the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer. Teams of friends and families or co-workers raise funds for cancer research and the provision of services in their communities. Walkers carry illuminated balloons-white for survivors, red for supporters and gold for those who have lost a loved one to a blood cancer.


Your help will make a difference. Please join my team! Team members are encouraged to make a donation, raise funds, and/or obtain donations from sponsors. All Team members are invited to join us at Light The Night Walk. If you cannot be there to participate at the actual walk, please consider raising funds in honor of Michael or making a donation.
