But he's going to beat it, thanks to research funded by LLS. AND HE HAS!!!

"...I have Hodgkin’s Lymphoma”. These were the words out of my son’s mouth this February. I'm sure you can imagine the thoughts that were going through my mind. John is young, has a wonderful wife and two adorable children - Amelia (8) and Jackson (5). Life is just starting for him.
How does a mother comprehend the road ahead?
My mind eased a little as I learned that this type of cancer is CURABLE. Not treatable. CURABLE. Through their grants, LLS has been able to provide the research making this possible.
You can read more about John’s story on Team In-Depth's page.
Though LLS focuses on research for Leukemia and Lymphoma, their results affect all cancers. Advancements in leukemia and lymphoma lead to advancements in other treatments. John's cancer is curable, but so many are not <YET!>. So, now I'm asking for your help. Help Team In-Depth raise $20,000 to fund life-saving research and find a CURE.
i am walking in honor of my son who is now in remission and for my long time family friend, Lisa Korsland who was diagnosed with ALL in June. I want to help fund LLS research so everyone now fighting this battle will be a survivor and someday the word "cancer" will be a thing of the past. Please help us make this possible.
So, how can you help?

Wright
Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's evening walk and fundraising event. It is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of people battling blood cancers and to commemorate loved ones lost.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) funds lifesaving research that has contributed to major advances in the treatment of blood cancers and treatments for other types of cancer, such as chemotherapy and stem cell transplants. New targeted therapies that kill cancer cells without harming normal tissue are providing drugs and procedures that are improving quality of life. In fact, in 2009 alone, LLS researchers were conducting more than 90 clinical trials, a critical step in the development of new treatments and cures that will help patients live better, longer lives.
