We're so glad that you've decided to support LLS through our silent auction....OR maybe you've come here simply to donate...that's great too!

Our team, Stick It 2 Cancer, raised $34,500 in 2010 ... with the help of more than 100 walkers, some fabulous sponsors, and countless individual donors. We can't wait to see where 2011 takes us! The silent auction is our first event toward our 2011 goal. Thanks for being a part of that!

Stick It 2 Cancer reaches out to folks battling cancer and their loved ones, creates a place where we can laugh and cry together and brings together new friends and old. Our irreverent t-shirts have been "just what the doctor ordered" for some folks...which makes us smile!

We could go on and on about our year and what Stick It 2 Cancer has meant to us personally, but we think you might have places to go and people to see! So, we'll close by telling you a bit about what your donation can do.

This statement from the LLS CEO sums up why we've always felt that LLS is where our dollars should go.

"Blood cancer research has always been a gateway to new therapies for ALL cancers. Many LLS-funded advances are already helping patients with diseases beyond those for whom they were originally developed, including solid tumors and auto-immune diseases."

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) funds lifesaving research that has contributed to major advances in the treatment of blood cancers and treatments for other types of cancer, such as chemotherapy and stem cell transplants. New targeted therapies that kill cancer cells without harming normal tissue are providing drugs and procedures that are improving quality of life.

In fact, in 2009 alone, LLS researchers were conducting more than 90 clinical trials, a critical step in the development of new treatments and cures that will help patients live better, longer lives.

• A donation of $25 provides patients and their loved ones with FREE booklets that contain up-to-date information on their disease and help them make informed decisions about their treatment options.
• A donation of $50 makes possible a Family Support group with a trained facilitator where comfort can be found and experiences can be shared among patients and family members.
• A donation of $100 helps supply laboratory researchers with supplies and materials critical to carrying out their search for cures.
• A donation of $1,000 makes possible one- on-one conversations with health care specialists who provide patients with information about their disease, treatment options, and helps prepare them with questions for their health care team.
