Help Remedy for Remedi with Christine
Sep 16, 2016

I am fundraising to honor Stephenie Lai, better known among her sorority sisters as Remedi. Diagnosed on April 28, 2015 at 26 years old, Stephenie has been fighting Hodgkins Lymphoma for over a year now. She is currently undergoing her fourth chemotherapy regimen after a failed autologous stem cell transplant.

Stephenie graduated on May 8, 2015 from the University of Georgia with her Master of Public Administration. However, she has not been able to work since graduation due to her hectic treatment schedule and unpredictable side effects. Luckily, LLS has provided a great support system for her, not only financially, but also personally.

The money raised by the Light the Night Walk helps LLS continue providing patients and caregivers with life-saving research, as well as support programs. Stephenie, and many other survivors, have benefitted from the First Connection program that connects patients with other survivors for peer support. The Co-Pay Assistance Program has also helped relieve some of Stephenie's financial burdens. Most of all, LLS research has contributed to the 93% survival rate for Hodgkins Lymphoma patients.

Although her fight is not over yet, she manages to get through each day with all of the support she receives from family, friends, and LLS. Please consider making a donation today so that LLS can keep providing these services to patients and caregivers. Help us live in a world without blood cancers.

The Atlanta Walk takes place on October 8, 2016 at 4:30 PM at Centennial Olympic Park. Register to walk with our team!
