"be" Team Homepage Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's evening walk and fundraising event. It is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of people battling blood cancers and to commemorate loved ones lost. I never would have imagined I would be creating a team to raise money for a cause, that directly affected me! I am a 34 year old mother of four, who was recently diagnosed with follicular low grade lymphoma. Although I am a stage IV, with 20% of the cancer in my bone, I am committed to giving this thing 500% of what I've got, while at the same time offering strength and hope to those who are struggling and afraid! The name "be" team represents the ability of every individual to just "be" who they are! Although the future is unclear, I want to live each and everyday here like there is no tomorrow! I want to see the sunshine on my children's faces, hear the laughter of their voices and be here to love them and teach them all that I can about life as long as God will allow me! Myself and the hundreds of thousands of other individuals out there that have been affected by cancer, would greatly appreciate your generous support, to help find a cure!!!
