Welcome to my Light The Night Walk homepage. Thanks for visiting my Light The Night Walk homepage. Light The Night is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of patients battling blood cancers and to commemorate loved ones lost. On September 26th, it will be my 6th year walking and raising money. I have raised $4,210.00 total and I hope to raise another $1,000.00 this year. I am very dedicated to this cause because I was diagnosed with Chronic Mylogenous Leukemia 9 years ago and I had a Bone Marrow Transplant. I have been healthy and cancer free since then and I dedicate my time now to help spread the awareness for Leukemia. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) funds lifesaving research that has contributed to major advances in the treatment of blood cancers and treatments for other types of cancer, such as chemotherapy and stem cell transplants. These treatments have helped patients live better, longer lives. New targeted therapies that kill cancer cells without harming normal tissue are providing drugs and procedures that are improving quality of life. Without the funding for research and treatments, many people wouldn't be as fortunate as I was. So please make a donation to support my participation in the Light The Night Walk and help save lives. Be sure to check my Web site frequently to see my progress, and thanks for your support! |
