Welcome to our Light The Night Walk homepage. Welcome friends and family! As many of you know, Chelsea has just celebrated her ONE YEAR cancer free anniversary. Another year has passed - all the more reason to walk. Because of life saving research, Chelsea has been given another chance at life. We will forever be grateful to the medical staff, friends and family who played a part in Chelsea's recovery. We also have to remember the children who have participated in research studies over the past 50 years, increasing her chances of survival from a mere 25% to today's 90% and higher. It's quite remarkable to think about all of the people who have donated money to organizations like the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and helped fund the life saving research that saved our baby girls life. If you have donated in the past, thank you - you should feel proud to have helped save another child's life. I ask that this year everyone consider donating to this worthy cause. Our team goal is $2,000. Chelsea is the honored hero this year and we would love to be one of the top fundraising teams!!! We need your help though. We appreciate every penny donated. Even if you feel like you cannot spare hardly anything at all, consider $5/month through the month of October, when we will hold our walk. If you start now, that's a total donation of $20! Please consider forwarding our team page and information to your friends and family. Word of mouth is a very powerful fundraising tool! Here is more information about our walk: Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's evening walk and fundraising event. It is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of people battling blood cancers and to commemorate loved ones lost. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) funds lifesaving research that has contributed to major advances in the treatment of blood cancers and treatments for other types of cancer, such as chemotherapy and stem cell transplants. These treatments have helped patients live better, longer lives. New targeted therapies that kill cancer cells without harming normal tissue are providing drugs and procedures that are improving quality of life. Please make a donation to support my participation in the Light The Night Walk and help save lives. Be sure to check my Web site frequently to see my progress, and thanks for your support! |
