[Above: 11:11 A.M. raised over $1,000 towards LTN and received this certificate in 2009! Let’s do it again!]
As longtime supporters of the Dear Jack Foundation's mission, 11:11 A.M. has been involved and made contributions to many charitable and research organizations that Andrew McMahon (of Jack's Mannequin and Something Corporate) supports. One of organizations is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual Light The Night Walks (LTN). The walks occur throughout the fall. They usually begin at dusk; walkers carry balloons with lights that illuminate the night’s sky. Red balloons are carried by supporters. White balloons are carried by survivors. Gold balloons honor the memory of those who have passed away from blood cancer.
11:11 A.M. is participating in LTN Team Jack’s Mannequin-Dear Jack Foundation by joining as a virtual walker. Our hope is to help raise awareness and to help the team reach Andrew’s 2011 goal of raising $125,000. If we reach this goal, the team will have raised a HALF MILLION DOLLARS for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society over the last six years and will be able to direct funds to a grant that will enable to the team to carry out the Dear Jack Foundation’s mission of creating an impact for those affected by young adult cancer.
So, we ask you to join us in the fight against blood cancers by donating $11.11 to our official walk page. If you can’t support the team monetarily, consider donating your time by volunteering at a walk. You can find out about volunteer opportunities at the LLS by contacting LTN(dot)TeamJM(at)gmail.com; they’ll get you in touch with the local chapter near you. For more information, you can check out the national team’s page. Thank you for your support!

Welcome to 11:11 A.M.'s Official Light The Night Walk homepage.
Wish | Love | Hope | Cure
Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual fundraising walk to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer. Hundreds of thousands of participants raise funds for lifesaving research and patient services.
For more than 60 years, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) has been solely focused on people with blood cancers. Presently, we have more than $250 million committed to research across the United States and in ten other countries. Every dollar is provided by concerned donors. We invest in the best, outcome based science:
- Anywhere, with no geographic or institutional boundaries
- Without profit incentive
- To meet unmet Medicare needs of people with blood cancers
And LLS funded advances are helping patients beyond those for whom they were originally developed, including people with solid tumors and auto-immune diseases. In the past decade, nearly 50% (19 out of 39) of the cancer drugs approved by the FDA were approved as treatments for blood cancer patients. Twelve are already approved for people beyond those for whom they were first developed. With your help, we are saving lives.
- A donation of $25 provides patients and their loved ones with FREE booklets that contain up-to-date information on their disease and help them make informed decisions about their treatment options.
- A donation of $50 makes possible a Family Support group with a trained facilitator where comfort can be found and experiences can be shared among patients and family members.
- A donation of $100 helps supply laboratory researchers with supplies and materials critical to carrying out their search for cures.
- A donation of $1,000 makes possible one- on-one conversations with health care specialists who provide patients with information about their disease, treatment options, and helps prepare them with questions for their health care team.
Please make a donation of $11.11 (or more if you wish!) to support 11:11 A.M.'s participation in the Light The Night Walk and help save lives. Be sure to check our page frequently to see our progress, and thanks for your support!
