I hit $700 with the help of a few good friends... now on to $800. I'll be fundraising until December 31, 2010. If you haven't yet joined my running list of awesome-- it's not too late to donate!

Also: mark your calendar for Sunday, October 24th for our Pizza Party Fundraiser at CPK in Westwood! We're doing an ALL DAY (11am - 10pm) fundraiser. All you need to do is print the flyer from the Dear Jack Foundation site and bring it with you when pay your bill (good for dining in or picking up takeout). 20% of the check will go to our team! Fighting cancer can be as easy as eating a slice of pizza (... or a whole pie)!

I've upped the ante here, since my amazing friends have gone above and beyond and helped me reach my goal of $555, then $600. I'm now aiming for $700! Despite the current economic condition, you all have given-- and that means more than I can ever express. Every dollar goes to fund research or support service initiatives for blood disease/cancer patients who are fighting tooth and nail for their lives. If you haven't donated yet... why not today? xox

A friendly reminder-- my Light The Night walk at Griffith Park is a mere one month away (October 2, 2010, to be exact)! I'm over halfway to my goal, but not quite there yet! I've also changed my goal to $555 in honor of our fifth year anniversary. More than ever, patients battling blood cancers need your support. Every (tax-deductible) dollar brings us a step closer to cures!

Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's evening walk and fundraising event. It is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of people battling blood cancers and to commemorate loved ones lost.

For the fifth year in a row, I'm participating in the Light The Night at Griffith Park on October 2nd, 2010. I'm walking in honor of Andrew McMahon, lead singer of the bands Jack's Mannequin and Something Corporate, bone marrow transplant recipient and leukemia survivor. Since the time I began my involvement with LTN and the Dear Jack Foundation, I now walk in support and in honor of countless others whose personal triumphs and battles have become a part of my reason for joining this fight.
