CELEBRATION:

We have another milestone in our family, Paul's mom, Ruth was married on Sept 10th and is beginning a new phase of her life as Mrs. Mike Taylor. At the 6-year mark as a Multiple Myeloma survivor, Ruth and Mike are about to embark on their honeymoon to Paris and Africa! What a miracle. This disease has only a 35% survival rate at 5 years. Ruth's survival is even more miraculous because she has done so without a bone marrow or stem cell transplant.

MEMORY:

I walk in memory of Paul's dad, Glenn, who we lost to Leukemia 9 years ago.

I also walk in memory of my dear friend Doug Lubbers who lost his fight this past April. Doug was a cornerstone of the Cancer Busters Team, and we will miss him greatly at this year's walk.

• A donation of $25 provides patients and their loved ones with FREE booklets that contain up-to-date information on their disease and help them make informed decisions about their treatment options.
• A donation of $50 makes possible a Family Support group with a trained facilitator where comfort can be found and experiences can be shared among patients and family members.
• A donation of $100 helps supply laboratory researchers with supplies and materials critical to carrying out their search for cures.
• A donation of $1,000 makes possible one- on-one conversations with health care specialists who provide patients with information about their disease, treatment options, and helps prepare them with questions for their health care team.
