Welcome to my Light The Night Walk homepage.
Dear Friends and Family:
Liam and Finn and I would like to thank you for visiting our Light the Night fundraising page. This is our FOURTH year participating in this wonderful event. In the past, we walked in memory of cousin Jimmy Trombley and friend Allison Scott, who both passed away far too young. We walk for the Friends of Heroes team, a non-profit started by Allie Scott's mom after she passed away.
This year the fight against blood cancers has hit us far closer to home. Liam and Finn's grandfather, Chris Domegan, was diagnosed a few weeks ago with diffuse large b-cell lymphoma. He has begun his fight and is undergoing treatment with chemotherapy. His prognosis is good, and his family are rallying around him with love and support and faith.
I want to teach my kids that the little things we do really matter; that we may feel insignificant, but when we band together, we can accomplish incredible things. That's why the kids and I have been out collecting cans at UM football games this year to fundraise for our walk, and that's why I am writing to you now to ask you contribute to our cause as well.
Your contribution, whether it's $5 or $50, will help make a difference in the life of Grandpa Domegan, and in the lives of his children and grandkids who love him, and in the lives of so many others who are sick, caring for someone who is sick, or remembering someone.
I want more than anything for Liam and Finn to see the huge impact that each of us can make, working together to fight, support, research and grow!
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) funds lifesaving research that has contributed to major advances in the treatment of blood cancers and treatments for other types of cancer, such as chemotherapy and stem cell transplants.
- A donation of $25 provides patients and their loved ones with FREE booklets that contain up-to-date information on their disease and help them make informed decisions about their treatment options.
- A donation of $50 makes possible a Family Support group with a trained facilitator where comfort can be found and experiences can be shared among patients and family members.
- A donation of $100 helps supply laboratory researchers with supplies and materials critical to carrying out their search for cures.
- A donation of $1,000 makes possible one- on-one conversations with health care specialists who provide patients with information about their disease, treatment options, and helps prepare them with questions for their health care team.
Please make a donation to support our participation in the Light The Night Walk and help save lives. Thanks for your support!
With Much Love from Becky, Liam and Finn
