About the Walk:
Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual fundraising walk to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer. Hundreds of thousands of participants raise funds for lifesaving research and patient services.
For more than 60 years, the non-profit Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) has been solely focused on people with blood cancers. Presently, they have more than $250 million committed to research across the United States and in ten other countries.
About Us and Our Affiliates:
We are the Michigan Chapter of a national organization called The Secular Student Alliance. This year, we also teamed up with The Foundation Beyond Belief, an organization dedicated to secular humanism and charity. The Foundation has worked hard to bring together local secular groups for this event, with the goal of raising $1,000,000 for LLS.
What You Can Do:
You can help us by making a donation or registering to walk (by clicking on "Walk with Us" at the top). Be sure to check our team Web site frequently to see our progress, and thanks for your support!
