We are excited to be walking again in this year’s Light the Night Walk. Light The Night Walk is (LLS) The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's evening walk and fundraising event. It is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of people battling blood cancers and to commemorate loved ones lost.

As many of you already know, 4 years ago on July 21st our world was tragically ripped apart when we lost our 22 year old daughter Michelle to complications of Leukemia. One minute she was planning finishing up college and planning for her future...and one minute she was told she had a life-threatening disease. Little did we know that in just 38 days from her diagnosis she would be dead. We knew we had to do something so others wouldn’t have to experience the devastation we had….and we couldn’t do it all by ourselves.

We knew that LLS funds lifesaving research that has contributed to major advances in the treatment of blood cancers and treatments for other types of cancer, such as chemotherapy and stem cell transplants, as well as providing financial assistance to those who need…and we wanted to part of it.

On October 1, 2010 team "Shellbells" will be participating once again in "The Light the Night" nationwide walk to raise awareness and funds to cure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We participate in the walk in memory of Michelle who lost her life to blood cancer as well as all others who have lost their battle. We also walk in honor of those who are still fighting for their lives.

• We are looking for people to join us on our team and walk with us as well as help us raise money for more critical research and financial assistance for patients and their families.

• If you are unable to walk, please consider donating to our team. Feel free to pass this website on to your friends and family and ask them to help us too. Each contribution will not only help fund more research so less debilitating treatments can be discovered for patients and with much higher success rates but will also help struggling families with uncovered medical expenses.

By assisting us you will deliver the hope that future generations will not have to endure cancer threatening the lives of their friends and family. You have the power to fight back against a disease that affects millions. We really need your help.
