Welcome to My Light The Night Walk Fundraising Page

Dear Family and Friends,

This is my first-ever online plea for assistance in raising money for a good cause.  Please help me support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk by donating towards my fundraising efforts today. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society supports all blood cancer research which includes multiple myeloma.  I am editing a standard text message which was supplied by the Light the Night Walk folks, but I thought I would leave their text (see below) because Molly lives in Lincoln, Nebraska and is a good example.  Much progress has been made in some of the childhood cancers such as ALL.  Multiple myeloma is a cancer of adults and is also a cancer where research has made a lot of progress in the last decade.  Still, there is much to be learned to be able to treat all people with this cancer.  What if there was a therapy effective enough to make transplantation procedures unnecessary?  Your contribution is important, however, it is not necessary to donate.  I write this to ask for your support as we walk with our local multiple myeloma support group-the Mighty Myeloma Fighters on October 22 at Cary's Booth Amphitheater.  You will see a link to the Team page on my personal page.  Pisal and I have found that awareness of our personal situation  and thoughtful communication from our friends and family are an essential part of getting and staying well.  Thank you for being part of our lives.

Here is the standard text about Mollly:

By giving a donation today, you can help children like Molly. At just 5 years old, Molly was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). LLS was there with her and her family from the very beginning with friendship, support, through daily chemo, aches and pains, weight changes, hair loss, and hospital stays. Now, Molly is in remission.

Money raised from the Light The Night Walk allows The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to fund treatments for patients who are suffering from all forms of blood cancers. LLS' funding saves thousands of lives every day. Molly's life was saved because of LLS' work supported by people like you.

Please make a donation to continue to help children like Molly and check my Web site frequently to see my progress.
