Welcome to Our Light The Night Walk Team Fundraising Page

Line and Terri Dempsey are the owners of NC Touring and are endeavoring to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. As in years past, Terri is offering her very own handcrafted items with each $25.00 donation (while supplies last) to commemorate the 2017 walk. 

For the NINTH year in a row, we will be walking in memory of Line's father, William Linebaugh Dempsey, III. We will also be walking in memory of some dear friends affected by leukemia and/or blood diseases who passed away: Ms. Jean Stewart & Ms. Lucille Martin (daughter and mother) & Ms. Sheryl Hardee, who was the owner of Ella's of Calabash Seafood Restaurant. Unfortunately, we had to add another name to our list: Erin Hollo.

But we are making positive moves in the fight against cancer and we walk to honor several people who winning tghe fight!  Our close friend, Kevin Penn, who was a part of our wedding party in 2007. He continues his fight and has made significant bounds toward a normal life. We also walk to honor some other friends / survivors: Mebette Forslin and Lauren Buben.  Please join us in the walk and/or make a donation. Over the last 9 years, with your help, we have raised over $12,000 to fight Cancer.  Help that number grow!

Thanks to dedicated people like you, funds raised from The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Light The Night Walk help support the research of blood cancer treatments that save lives.

Without your efforts LLS could not fund the research of such treatments as targeted therapies that zero in on cancer cells and kill them or immunotherapy drugs that use a patient's own immune system to kill cancer.
