On October 3rd, Makenna, Aidan and I will be walking in our 6th Light the Night walk to benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. When I started walking, I did so for a baby in Texas that I had never even met. Now I walk for all the kids I have come to know and love who fight the battle every day.

In February, we learned that our 7 year old neighbor, "A", had been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He missed the remainder of 2nd grade, the beginning of 3rd grade, his summer vacation and much more. As my kids told me, "A can't go outside for 100 days!" - as the result of a bone marrow transplant.

No child should have to go through what little A has endured in the last 9 months. Will you join me in my fight to eliminate these diseases? Tremendous progress has been made, but much more needs to be done. If you are willing, please donate just a little something to help these kids.
