How Leukemia Can Touch Everyone

When I signed up to join the Young Hearts, I did it because I knew it was a great cause and my friends in the club really enjoyed their experience with Light the Night. What I didn't know was that I actually had a personal connection with leukemia. I told my mom that I wanted to join the club and she shared with me that at least three family members have passed away due to the disease. My grandmother's father and two of her brothers, one of them younger than two years old, were all diagnosed with three were different types of leukemia with three different likely causes. It was fairly shocking, to say the least. It really highlights the fact that anyone can be affected by a sickness like this. We should be doing anything we can to help amazing causes such as the LLS to find cures and heal people. Please, donate what you can and share this with as many people as possible.

By giving a donation today, you can help children like Molly. At just 5 years old, Molly was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). LLS was there with her and her family from the very beginning with friendship, support, through daily chemo, aches and pains, weight changes, hair loss, and hospital stays. Now, Molly is in remission.
Money raised from the Light The Night Walk allows The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to fund treatments for patients who are suffering from all forms of blood cancers. LLS' funding saves thousands of lives every day. Molly's life was saved because of LLS' work supported by people like you.
