Dear Colleagues, Family & Friends,
I would like to take a moment to thank you all for encouragement and support while Jason was undergoing his battle with Leukemia. Jason is doing very well now and we want to take this opportunity to celebrate his health and recognize the hurdles that he has overcome. We are grateful for the medical technology and medical community that work to save lives each day. It is now time for us to give forward so that others can enjoy the blessing of a return to perfect health as Jason has. I would like to invite everyone to join "Jason's Army" as we Light The Night with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society this October.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk is a national fundraising campaign to commemorate and celebrate lives touched by cancer. The unique feature of this walk - it is a 2 mile evening walk! All fundraising participants carry an illuminated balloon during the Walk, red for supporters, white for cancer patients and survivors and gold for teams walking in memory of a loved one. Prior to the walk, everyone is invited to share in food, live entertainment, children's activities and more! This year's Light The Night Walk will take place on Friday, October 9th at the Meyer Amphitheare in Downtown West Palm Beach from 6:00 - 9:00pm. There are several ways in which you can become a part of this magical evening:
Join the "Jason's Army" Team by becoming a Walker & Fundraiser. If you would like to become a fundraising team member on the Jason's Army team you can sign up from this site. Once you join the Team, you will receive an email from LLS with details on how to login to your personal fundraising website. You may use this site to send out emails to your family and friends, asking them to join the Jason's Army Team with you or to make a donation to support your fundraising efforts. The LLS staff will also send you a Walker Welcome Kit with more details about the event, fundraising ideas and a donation collection envelope. There is no fundraising minimum to participate in the Light The Night Walk, however, the more you raise, the more incentives you will earn and the closer you will bring us to a CURE.
Join the "Jason's Army" Team by becoming a Walker & Donor. If you would like to make a donation to Jason's Army's fundraising efforts and participate in the Light The Night Walk on Oct. 9th, but do not want to conduct your own fundraising efforts, please contact the Light The Night Director, Tracy at 561.775.9954 ext. 12 or at tracy.navakas@lls.org and she will take your donation for the team and register you as a non-fundraising walker on the Jason's Army team.
Support the "Jason's Army" Team by making a Donation. If you cannot participate in the Walk, but would like to make a donation to support the efforts of Jason's Army, click on the "donate now" button to make your donation. All donations are tax-deductible.
The Walks are a means of creating public awareness about blood cancers and their devastating effects on families. Light The Night also raises funds to help support the LLS mission of finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and to improving the quality of life of patients and their families. Please join Jason's Army as we work toward a CURE! I thank you in advance for your support.
Sincerely,
Jeff Bolton
