Welcome to my Light The Night Walk homepage.
I've never been diagnosed with Cancer. I've never gone through what I am sure is a personal hell. And I hope I never have to. But not everyone gets that lucky. So yes, I've never had Cancer and I started doing Light the Night Walks and raising money before I personally lost anyone to it. But I also know you never know....
When I was younger, I lived in a neighborhood full of other kids. We all played jail break, ate pizza at The Pizza Shed and hung out at The Card Nook.
When I was a sophmore in highschool, one of the kids from the neighborhood, Mike Masishin, was diagnosed with Leukemia. He passed away at just 19 years old.
My sister and I went to the funeral and I just couldn't believe the amount of people there to mourn their loss. Standing in the line waiting to go in was something I'll never forget. But even more than that, was getting to the front, hugging his girlfriend who was wearing his hoodie, and seeing his young lifeless body. I thought, how could this happen? How could someone so young die of cancer?
But you know what? Cancer doesn't discriminate. Young, old, black, white. Since then, I have lost my grandparents to various cancers. I have seen one of my best friends lose her mother to breast cancer and I have made an amazing friend named Jessica who is now cancer-free.
No matter who you are - cancer has probably touched you in some form. PLEASE open your heart and give even the smallest of donations. You'll feel good knowing somewhere, somehow - your donation helped someone.

- A donation of $25 provides patients and their loved ones with FREE booklets that contain up-to-date information on their disease and help them make informed decisions about their treatment options.
- A donation of $50 makes possible a Family Support group with a trained facilitator where comfort can be found and experiences can be shared among patients and family members.
- A donation of $100 helps supply laboratory researchers with supplies and materials critical to carrying out their search for cures.
- A donation of $1,000 makes possible one- on-one conversations with health care specialists who provide patients with information about their disease, treatment options, and helps prepare them with questions for their health care team.
Please make a donation to support my participation in the Light The Night Walk and help save lives. Be sure to check my Web site frequently to see my progress, and thanks for your support!
