"YOU gotta swim- and when it HURTS..."

Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's evening walk and fundraising event. It is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of people battling blood cancers and to commemorate loved ones lost.

This will be my second time partcipating in the Light the Night Walk (the first time was in New York with my family, honoring my Uncle Kevin). It was emotional & moving. It ws inspirational. So I'm back at it- this time walking in honor of Andrew McMahon, Something Corporate/ Jack's Mannequin extraordinaire. I have been a fan since 2000 & while I have met him a handful of times, I still find him to be one of the most down to earth individulas. It is important to recognize him as being JUST as human as any of us. He underwent chemo-therapy & pushed through his treatments with his head held high- never a dull spirit. He remains to be an inspiration to all. I will be walking on team "Jack's Mannequin" in Red Bank September 26th <3 JOIN ME.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) funds lifesaving research that has contributed to major advances in the treatment of blood cancers and treatments for other types of cancer, such as chemotherapy and stem cell transplants. These treatments have helped patients live better, longer lives. New targeted therapies that kill cancer cells without harming normal tissue are providing drugs and procedures that are improving quality of LIFE.
