My Fundraising Page
May 07, 2013
First, I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone that donated in the past. We were the #1 fundraising team at the Pittsburgh Light the Night Walk 2 years in a row!!!!!
This cause is especially important to me because 7 years ago, at the age of 19, I was diagnosed with Hairy Cell Leukemia. Since being treated successfully, I have made it my personal goal to help thousands of others like me who have been affected by cancer.
Since being diagnosed in 2006, my team has raised over $70,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Last year with the help of family, friends, the community, and local businesses, we were able to raise $26,094.32 for the Society. This year our fundraising goal is to raise $30,000. (This is where you come in...) I'm asking for your help by donating whatever you can to help us reach our goal of $30,000!! Please, if possible, help me fight Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma with a donation. Your help is greatly appreciated and very well needed.
"It takes each of us to make a difference for all of us."
- A donation of $30 provides patients and their loved ones with FREE booklets that contain up-to-date information on their disease and help them make informed decisions about their treatment options.
- A donation of $50 makes possible a Family Support group with a trained facilitator where comfort can be found and experiences can be shared among patients and family members.
- A donation of $100 helps supply laboratory researchers with supplies and materials critical to carrying out their search for cures.
- A donation of $1,000 makes possible one- on-one conversations with health care specialists who provide patients with information about their disease, treatment options, and helps prepare them with questions for their health care team.
Please make a donation to support my participation in the Light The Night Walk and help save lives. Be sure to check my Web site frequently to see my progress, and thanks for your support!
